iMac now showing Stock shortages in resellers (updated)

Apple Bitch is reporting that many retailers are seeing stock shortages of the iMac:

Hot on the heels of an expected MacBook Pro and specific 2 release comes the news that third Apple distributors are now experiencing dramatic shortage of iMac.  As pointed out two readers of AppleBitch separately, 21 and 27-inch iMac stocks are at very low levels in many European Amazon stores, particularly in France and United Kingdom.  American R & J electronics retailer is also completely exhausted of various configurations of 27 inches in spite of having much as little as 3 weeks ago.

As reflected by the impending it renews for MacBook Pro and the specific, evidence of an imminent release of product is often embodied first as stock levels fallen into third-party retailers.  This is sometimes but not always, had been followed by the scarcity and had extended delivery times in Apple online and in stores retail.  The fact that retailers have little or no stock of 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac provides a good indication of a new model could be on the road.

Update: while still showing the times of normal delivery for online ordering, we have been told a number of Best Buy stores retailers are showing limited or non-availability of stock of the iMac.
