Now that apple have lifted the lid on the upcoming iPad 2, in its media launch on 2 March we can now reveal the final specifications of the device.

Thinner the iPad 2 is 33% thinner than the original at only 0.34” (.863 cm) thick.

Faster – The iPad 2 features a dual core A5 processor as well as a faster graphic processor that is capable of pushing graphics up to 9 times faster than the original model.

10 Hour Battery life – Surprisingly Apple have managed to make the iPad 2 faster with more powerful processors yet it has the same 10 hour battery life.

Cameras – Yes thats right the iPad 2 features 2 cameras that are capable of both still and video, and can be used for Facetime or as a webcam for messenger applications such as Skype or Yahoo chat. Apple have not published any real specification on the iPad 2’s cameras however other websites speculate it a 1 megapixel camera.

iPad 2 Smart Covers – These smart covers are magnetic which magnetically snap onto the iPad 2, in addition when you close the smart cover the iPad 2 instantly goes to sleep to save battery power and then when you open the smart cover the iPad 2 instantly awakens. iPad 2 Smart Covers come in 10 colours

iPad 2 Video Mirroring -  With the purchase of an optional cable you are able to output the screen of your iPad 2 to a TV, Video projector or Monitor, allowing for the iPad 2 to be your one stop shop for presentations on the road.

iPad 2 AirPlay – AirPlay lets you stream Video, Music and photos from the device to ay AirPlay enabled speakers or Apple TV via your Wifi Network.
