Cydia is NOT a jailbreak. It is an App Store like application which you can install third party apps. For 3.1.2 or 3.1.3, use Spirit Jailbreak (spiritjb.com). Download on your computer, connect your iPhone to the computer, click Jailbreak and you’re done.

for 3.1.2 – 4.01, go to JailbreakMe.com on your iPhone Safari browser, slide to jailbreak.

Okay my iPhone was jailbroken for awhile. I had apps from Cydia and my iPhone all customized to my liking. Last night I got an update from iTunes to update my iPhone. After the update I checked my iPhone and everything I got from Cydia was GONE. I attempted to jailbreak again with blackra1n and its not letting me. Please help!!!

How to un-jailbreak iPhone 3G 3.0, also will push notification apps work?

I was wondering how i could un-jailbreak my iPhone 3G with the 3.0 software. If i just install the new 3.1.2 software will i be getting rid of the jailbreak? Moreover, will all the apps which have push notifications work when i un-jailbreak my iPhone? That is my main reason for un-jailbreaking it. Thanks!
an app named 2Do doesn’t allow push notifications for jailbroken iPhones so i’m thinking of restoring it.
Does anyone else’s 2Do jailbroken app provide push notifications?

Yes doing a restore on your phone will undo the jailbreak. Also your push apps should work once you unjailbreak. Although they should work with the jailbreak. I have plenty of push apps that work fine on my jailbroken phone. Either way if the jailbreak is causing the app to not work then restoring the iphone should solve the problem

does anyone know when the 4.2.1 greenpois0n jailbreak will be released?

im trying to jailbreak my ipod touch 3rd gen 8gig but nothing will work. when i had 4.1 green pois0n worked for me but nothing else did so can any one tell me when its coming out?
ive tried red sn0w but it dosent work for me it always gets stuck on the “exploiting with limera1n part

It won’t be updated most likely. Redsn0w and pwnagetool are the two only ways to jailbreak your device

I am currently on 4.0 jailbroken. I know it will break my device if i update so I have to restore. Do I have to restore to 4.0 the update to 4.2.1 and then jailbreak that or just restore to 4.2.1 missing out the 4.0

Untethered is only on a mac. If u have a mac you can use the newest redsn0w 0.9.7b7 or greenpois0n rc5 that came out last nite. U have to restore to a factory 4.2.1, and jailbreak. But first use tinyumbrella to save your shsh blobs so you can always go back. <—very important. If u r on windows just wait till greenpoison comes out with rc5 for windows in about a week or 2 so it is untethered unless you are comfortable booting tethered at every reboot of ipod. Good luck

It will probably take another month or two but everybody is working hard on the latest jailbreak so it could be as soon as one month. There is no estimated time that is just my prediction

im watching this vid on youtube on how to do it and im wondering if its safe to do. anyone have experience?

I did it and it was fine, but when your ipod or iphone breaks they wont fix it for you and i tried to unjailbreak my phone it totally froze and had to pay 600 for a new one
